back to relax with the second episode of the Fall 2011 series, Tamayura~hitotose~, “A Day Wrapped in Scents”. This episode begins the day-to-day setup, following Fu and friends after she’s moved back to the town where she once lived until her father died. First things first, and I’m going to get it out of the way early…Fu is adorable!! Her cuteness only multiplies when she gets nervous though she’s unstoppable with that cute smile she gets when she’s taking a picture with her dad’s camera!
Okay, I’m good now, time for a run-down. Episode two semi-centers around Fu’s homeroom teacher, Mr. Dougou, who loves to spin a regional pun and help his students become they best they can be, though he’s very annoying in the process. Mr. Dougou actually interrupts Fu and friends’ sleepover when he asks Kaoru to help him set up for the bamboo festival. But this doesn’t keep Fu, Maon, and Norie down, they quickly volunteer to help Kaoru. After they were done with their work, Mr. Dougou offers to thank them by taking them out to dinner…for three layer okonomiyaki…needless to say, plenty leftover for midnight snacking. After a while of looking through some of Fu’s photos, the girls are scared to death and back when Kaoru’s older sister, Sayomi, shows up with games and more food…(sarcasm) yum (/sarcasm).
But it’s not all fun and games, thanks to Sayomi, the girls begin to see that Mr. Dougou was actually very concerned with his students. He knew Kaoru was going to be home alone that night, so he thought it best if he kept an eye on her while setting up for the bamboo festival (he just didn’t know she was planning on going to Fu’s for a sleepover -.- ).
Fu receives a late night heart-to-heart with Sayomi, as she looks through Fu’s pictures, particularly ones of them when they were children. Showing, once again, that Fu isn’t alone, and that others are happy to see her coming to terms with her father’s death.
Until next time,
